what is cause this and how can i fix it?

i try to read some dvds on my comp. 90% will work but every once and a while i'll come accross one that freezes up my comp untill i eject the dvd.

some cases it will be a 4 dvd set and 3 will work but i'd return with the problem with the 4th one.

why does this evolve? how can i fix it? do i need a unknown drive?

what is cause this and how can i fix it?

1) run awc personal free edition

http://bestofrest.blogspot.com/2007/02/a...

2) Use a cd/dvd cleaning disk and run it in the cd/dvd drive, that will verbs the cd/dvd lense. Also see if your cd/dvds have accumulate anything on the surface. If you have any doubt consequently wash them contained by soap water. Do not scrub. Use a soft cloth to clean them. Let them dry and then use them.
look on the flip side of the DVD

are at hand scratches? fingerprints?

I suspect the problem is next to the DVD and not the player

unless you try one of the first ones you played - and it won't this time
If the 4th/ or 3rd DVD freezes up on your pc, but it works fine on another one--that receive rid of your dvd-drive.

But try uninstalling the driver then restart the workstation.
a system crash is due to an encryption method used in the dvd. so u obligation to use a dvd decrypter. this problem mar arise to a wrong region problem too. therefore use DVD-Region Free software its the best i know carry it from www.dvdidle.com/dvd-region-fre... hope this helps
