What is the best cleaner to verbs a computer upright?

The best article really is to buy those air can at staples and spray the keyboard really upright. They are high pressure so they lend a hand getting all the gunk out. I usually a short time ago turn mine upside down and lightly thump it against the table to get out dust and particle then freshly wipe it down with a tablecloth and a small amount of cleaner like windex or something. I havent broke one on the other hand :-)

What is the best choice for ATX motherboard/CPU combos?

What are the fastest, cheapest combos out in attendance?

What is the best choice for ATX motherboard/CPU combos?

Personally, I prefer AMD CPUs because most of the time both the CPU and the motherboards are cheaper. The other reason I resembling AMD is they seem to stick near the same socket which allows upgrading for longer. AMD used Socket A for nearly 7 years (800MHz to 3000+) while Intel seem to change their socket method more often.

If you are buying exotic RAM, go beside the newer AMD socket AM2 which uses the new DDR2 RAM. The subsequent AMD processors (AM3) were announced to be to the rear compatible to AM2 motherboards.

If you already have some standard DDR RAM that you want to use, the elder socket 939 is still readily available and is pretty cheap. I basically got a single core FX-55 (4500+ / 2.6GHz) for in the region of $125 (on sale at www.newegg.com) and a motherboard for $65 that will run my 2GB two of a kind of DDR400 (PC3200) RAM from my last computer. I bought the oem CPU and found a untried oem cooler from a super high-end CPU on eBay with fry tubes for cheap - very nice.

I other prefer Asus, Abit or MSI motherboards. Good luck with your build!!

What is the best Central Processing Unit available to public today?

Intel has come out beside a Quad Core CPU which is in the head for right now.

However, that might be overkill for what you are trying to do and for what you're mainboard (motherboard) can toy with.

For instance if you are doing moderate pc computing a Dual Core CPU might be adjectives you need. It's better to research for a CPU by list what you are going to use it for unless you are just out to build the most up-to-date and greatest and don't care something like the cost aspect. I have a few clients that are close to that and have built systems already around this Quad Core and it is nice especially from gaming and LAN party. You can throw the game server to run stale one core and the game bad another and you really don't take a running hit.
That would be the Intel Quad Core.

The best on the marketplace for the price seems to be the Nvidia 7600 GS AGP
The Gainward Golden 7900GS 512MB. It's the single 7900 AGP card to use the later G71 core (generally, this allows for high clock speeds), and it's also, AFAIK, one of the only 512MB AGP cards on the open market.

dont listen to the posts below... $130 for that crap card when you can spend 100 more to attain 7950gt that will play any game on soaring settings maxed, no thanks buddy.
If you want a angelic graphics card for a good price, I would progress with an x1600 graphics card from ati. It have 512 mb of memory and a 400mhz core clock speed. Only about $130 at bestbuy.

what is the actual cache memory & what's does?

what is the actual cache memory & what's does?

Simple vocabulary. cache is a "go between" memory, cpu, and/or harddrive. The larger it is, the more data it can give support to move around.

Best way to picture this is to say-so a bathtub is your bump memory (where programs run at, a lake is the harddrive (where data/programs are stored). The cache would be the bucket that moves the marine (programs/data) from the hardrive to the memory in lay down to run.

It is also able to hold that information to wait until it's needed. Like when the cpu is trying to run calculation, the cache helps keep hold of the data moving so the cpu doesn't enjoy to wait for more information to be sent to it.
Cache memory is high speed memory that sits close to the processor. Basically, when the processor have to do work it must do it from within its registers (registers are also memory cells). In instruct to do this, it might have to nouns the values from memory into its registers. The first place it looks is cache memory, and if it finds it it copies it to registers to perform its operation. If it doesn't find it in L1 cache, it checks L2 cache, next it checks system memory, and the OS might have to page the memory from a page database. Note that each of these operation takes longer so its more preferable to own your data surrounded by L1 or L2 cache (and therefore better to own a larger cache).
In computer science, a cache is a collection of data duplicating resourceful values stored elsewhere or computed earlier, where on earth the original notes is expensive (usually in jargon of access time) to fetch or compute relative to reading the cache. Once the data is stored surrounded by the cache, future use can be made by access the cached copy rather than re-fetching or recomputing the inspired data, so that the average access time is lower.

What is that small PCI slot subsequent to the other white PCI expansion slots do?

Depends where on earth it is. If it's the first port between the rest of them and the small ports in the computer, next you're rocking an AGP port. Good for you: you don't have to use PCI video cards!

If it's at the top of the motherboard after the last PCI port, after that would be a CNR port, and it's used at the factory to diagnose a motherboard or troubleshoot a damaged one sent contained by by RMA. It has no purpose for fall users.

What is Raid0 & Raid5 ?

What is Raid0 & Raid5 ?

RAID -- Redundant Array of Inexpensive/Independent Disks

RAID is a method to attain hight performance and redundancy out of HDDs.

It is implement in multiple ways and depending upon performance and redundancy even there are miscellaneous levels of RAID. Most adjectives being RAID-0 and RAID-5.

RAID-0 -- Suppose you enjoy two HDDs and you need greater working in reading and writing notes, however redundancy of the data is not that far-reaching, like a cache server. With RAID-0 you ca complete this. Data is striped and written on two both the HDDs. For example... data is "MY FILE", afterwards it will be broken in pieces and written something approaching this:

HDD-1 -- M,F,L

HDD-2 -- Y,I,E

This increases the performance of read and write operation. However, if one of the HDDs fails complete notes is lost. You need at smallest two HDDs to implement this RAID.

RAID-5 -- Most popular RAID and widely implemented contained by most of the servers. You require at least 3HDDs to implement this RAID plane. it is also called distributed stripe set beside parity.

The benefit of this effecting is even if one of the HDDs fail you can recuperate data from rest of the HDDs. It does this by calculating the egalitarianism of the striped data using XOR(exclusive OR) operation.

You can check below URL to return with a pictorial representation:

What is RAID 0? What does it do?

What is RAID 0? What does it do?

RAID 0 implements a striped disk array, the notes is broken down into blocks and each block is written to a separate disk drive

I/O actions is greatly improved by spreading the I/O nouns across many channel and drives

Best performance is achieve when data is striped across multiple controllers near only one drive per controller

No balance calculation overhead is involved

Very simple design

Easy to implement
Raid 0 is a route to combine hard disks next to a technology called striping. It spreads the facts across multiple hard drives.

Usually, you want to do RAID 5. This give you fault tolerance. One drive is unused contained by the total bytes, but holds parity information. If one drives fail, you can replace it, and the array will keep going lacking losing data. RAID 0, however is striping WITHOUT egalitarianism. So, there is NO bad habit tolerance to it. Usually, RAID 0 is only used for DB servers, as it is faster (because, contained by theory, it can read to one drive while writing to another).

The other option are RAID 5, which is a mirror. (a complete copy of one drive is stored on another in shield of failure) or RAID 10, which is mirrored RAID 5

What is overclocking ?

how do you overclock the Video card, processor ? I own a nVIDIA FX 5500 and Pentium IV 2.4GHz . Plz explain in detail.

What is overclocking ?

If your running a proprietary system your likelihood of overclocking the system are slim to none in BIOS since most of the time those features are locked out. But within anycase Look for a program from nVidia called NTune. Since it sounds close to your a bit new at this use the fine tune part. It works pretty well and will overclock not solely the video card but the system automatically. If you cant use nTune, look up a program called coolbits. All the information you stipulation can be found on the internet,in detail, step by step.

A word to the astute though, if your not using an aftermarket cooling solution you could burn up a processor or a GPU. If your looking at getting more performance out of your video card I would recommend purchasing a newer one previously you started overclocking. the FX 5500 is a bit dated. Overclocking the the process contained by which you increase the speed/performance of something be it your processor or graphics card beyond that of A, the recommend level for the product or B what it is set at. I don't enjoy an idea how to overclock your processor but your graphics card self Nvidea should already have an overclocking chance if not do a explore in google for overclocking software for your card.

What is minimum processor speed required for 80 GB knotty disk?

What is minimum processor speed required for 80 GB knotty disk?

Any processor speed will do, as long as you have the proper nouns to the harddrive. The most important press is will the BIOS support it. If your machine is smaller number than 6 years old it will.
I don't imagine that there is processor speed requirement for a strong disk....but I could be wrong...
Doubt processor speed has anything to do next to a hard disk.
Actually, processor speed is celebrated to hard drive speed, and it's not high-status. I'll explain: your hard drive interface on your motherboard transfers the information at a speed, it's 100MHZ for ultra DMA interface, I don't know what SATA is offhand (I would guess around 200 mhz). So within order to pinch advantage of that badnwidth, you'd own to have a processor beside at least 100-200 mhz. So it doesn't situation because most PCs are running in excess of 1.0 ghz.

U3 is sometimes installed on flash drives, it is not uninstallable and has issues.
the most important limitations of a thumb drive or pen drive as they are called is that they require a USB port to connect to and you will entail software drivers for pre winxp operating systems, you can get 12gb+ version but they are still quite expensive
Thumbdrives formatted for NTFS are orphans, and will clearly lose files so only use for verbs like from home to arts school, or home to work.

What is keeping my Pentium 4 2.4ghz from running at full speed?

My processor runs at 1.79ghz. I take to mean this is probably some kind of motherboard shortening, but I would like someone to explain this to me. I ask because I want to buy a tentative motherboard that will run it at full speed, but I don't know what to look for. I believe it is a socket 478? FSB 400mhz? Any help?

What is keeping my Pentium 4 2.4ghz from running at full speed?

I would have need of more info to be sure, but I have a clothed guess. I think you certainly have a 533 FSB, but your motherboard individual supports 400, hence it is slowing the FSB down and the processor along with it. I could be profoundly more sure of this though if I had more info. You can email or instant message me from my profile if you want.

What is IDE-0?

When I starts the computer, on POST peak it says SEARCHING BOOT FROM IDE-0...OK

I don't wanna boot anything....so plz make clear to me how should I solve this problem.

What is IDE-0?

IDE-0 is where your intricate drive is plugged in. Most computers (prior to SATA) own two (IDE-0 and IDE-1) Each IDE has a ribbon cable coming out of it, and have two plugs - so you can set the jumpers on your intricate drive or CD/DVD drive and have any combination of up to four devices operating within your machine.

When it say 'searching boot from ide-0... ok' it means that it is looking on IDE-0 for a knotty drive with a boot hedge. Once it has found it (unless it is corrupted) it should boot to anything O/S is on the machine.

If you 'don't want to boot anything' afterwards you should probably disconnect the computer, put it in a box, and make available it to someone else.
there is no problem. Starting your computer is call booting up. IDE-0 is the first hard drive (computers start counting at 0 not 1). So it is doing exaclty what it si supposed to be doing.

It is starting, and looking for the first firm drive (IDE-0) to BOOT from and load up Windows.
But does your computer boot? If it does you own nothing to verbs about, its simply searching for the primary thorny drive to boot from sounds like.

What is biddable gaming RAM?

I am going to run vista and mostly going to hobby. My system will be this:

e6600 overclocked to 3.0ghz

8800 GTX factory superclocked

700 watt gamextream PSU

EVGA nforce 680i motherboard

Western Gigital Rapter 150gb

Soundblaster x-fi xtreme gamer 7.1 sound card

What is a honest type of RAM. I was thinking of DDR2 800 5-5-5-15. Is this quickly for gaming? If not what is?

What is biddable gaming RAM?

There are a few cas3 ddr2, but doesn't seem to be the best. cas4 is the typical gaming memory.

http://www.newegg.com/product/product.as...

And overclocking the cpu will not assistance most games, just shorten the enthusiasm of that cpu. Make sure you keep it's temps means of access down (50c or lower).
Yes.
Look at the capacity, bigger is better.
I would recommend 2 Gb of RAM if you already hold so much money in your cpu..
i get about 2gbs and it's never be fully used. i'm a keen gamer get about 280 games on notebook. but i think that the more you procure the betetr because you have no belief of how much ram games will require surrounded by the future. and overclocking your CPU lowers the life span of it, just put together sure that you got the boil sink on real appropriate!
Take 400 frequencies 1 GB of memory on all слоты that at you is and play!удачи!
if you be goin 4 a serious gamin system...

i would get

DDR2 - 9200, 5-5-5-15 at 1150Mhz, 2gigabyte would do...

check out the kingston website.btw if you do look at the Hyper X memories. near the one u need
i would individually suggest a 1.5 or 2 Gb RAM, if your mother board supports dual channel dance for 2 1Gb Ram's as it improves running. I suggest that you go for a 250GB SATA 2 Segate thorny disk as the cost difference is really less.

what is going on eBay?

I want to buy a illustrative card from ebay and some sellers write the size of the card like 128/ 512 mb or 256/512 mb, can any one describe me what they mean by that? because i dont infer its 128 mb or 512 mb.

what is going on eBay?

128 mb means you own 128 mega bites of memory it is capable of holding smaller quantity memory than the 512 mb so if you want to store more memory on the card buy the 512mb. that would be my advice
This is newly a guess but they may be saying that they enjoy both options for you. The best bet would be to message the salesperson asking what they mean by that.
The better suggestion is to shop at stores like www.newegg.com. You will find almost ALL the time, the final bid of the video card will be HIGHER after retail in a retail store. And if it happen to be cheaper, you will usually get a rude awakening by the peddler renigging on the deal as it doesn't "meet miminum bid".

All you hold to do is compare before you bid.

What is form factor 1.8" or 2.5 HDD" ?

It wont fit contained by the bracket but you can probably find some sort of adapter type thing or use a makeshift one.

Just past you get it engender sure that both the Hard drive and the computer have alike type of connector cables.
That is the depth of the hard drive.
You have need of one of these adapters:

http://www.positiveesolutions.com/produc...

Or you can get a USB stall for the 2.5" drive and use it like an oversized USB push button.

The 2.5" drives have a 50-pin connector that have power and ground throught the same connector. The 3.5" drives hold a seperate 40-pin signal cable and a 4-pin molex connector for power.

To directly answer your question, no it won't work- not in need an adapter.
Ok the CPU has nought to do with this drive fitting or not. Nor will it affect the compatibility contained by your system. What will is the Interface on your motherboard: Sata or ATA. Assuming your motherboard supports the same interface as the HDD yes it will work as long as you hold something that will convert a 2.5 connector to a 1.8. Then your all set.

EDO (Extended Data Out) RAM is better than standard RAM as it can fetch and deliver data at equal time. While regular FPM (Fast Page Mode) RAM can only deliver notes to the processor, then progress and fetch the next block. So it's technically twice as well-run.

What is dual core processsor?

What is dual core processsor?

A dual-core CPU combines two independent processors and their respective cache and cache controllers onto a single silicon chip, or integrated circuit. IBM's POWER4 was the first microprocessor to incorporate 2-cores on a single die. Various dual-core CPUs are one developed by companies such as Motorola, Intel and AMD, and are scheduled to appear contained by consumer products.
A dual core processor is a processor with two cores. It runs significantly better.
A multi-core microprocessor is one that combines two or more independent processors into a single bundle, often a single integrated circuit.
A dual-core device contains two independent microprocessors. In common, multi-core microprocessors allow a computing device to exhibit some form of thread-level parallelism (TLP) without including multiple microprocessors contained by separate physical packages. This form of TLP is often prearranged as chip-level multiprocessing.
A multi-core microprocessor is one that combines two or more independent processors into a single package, regularly a single integrated circuit (IC). A dual-core device contains two independent microprocessors. In general, multi-core microprocessors allow a computing device to exhibit some form of thread-level parallelism (TLP) lacking including multiple microprocessors in separate physical packages. This form of TLP is habitually known as chip-level multiprocessing.

What is dual core processor. I?

What is dual core processor. I?

Hi Sel,

A dual core processor is simply a processor have 2 cores! Well let me explainify a bit further...

The core of the processor is its "base". an example of an AMD(tm) core is the Venice core and an example of an INTEL(tm) core is the Prescott.

Generally, respectively core can handle up to 1 thread, or operation, at a time. Thus, have more cores, simply results in greatly increased system operation.
to enhance the performance of a computer... one style is to put multiple processors on it or some how imitate this... core duo is the second remedy where they put multiple processors on a single microchip along beside all the prerequisites and requirements of the processors and this is call as a core duo chip. it works like two processors are inside your computer.
In brief it's two CPU's mounted on one Die.

So what is a single chip that you mount into your Mainboard if truth be told contains two processors.

What is display card?

Is it equal to interface card? Are they different??

What is display card?

Yes they are different, an interface card refers to a gridiron or NIC card. Your display card is what your monitor is plugged into. It is more commonly referred to as the video or graphics card.
No, it is your graphics card. The thing that displays everythoing onto your monitor.
An AGP Digital Display (ADD) card is an adapter card that can be inserted into the AGP port of Intel(R) 845G chipset family-based systems. ADD cards allow configurations for TV-out, LVDS, and TMDS output (i.e. television and digital displays/flat panels). Combined with an Intel(R) Extreme Graphics Driver, ADD cards can be used to display system output to a TV, digital display, or simultaneously to a monitor and digital display.

what is disc imaging?

what is disc imaging?

Disc imaging is using computer software to thieve a "snapshot" or "image" of a hard drive. You can next use this snapshot to put an exact copy of everything on the drive at that moment onto a new drive.

The primary use for disc imaging is big buisnesses. PC maker set up a PC, install any software, and then take home an image. By using this portrait, it is easy to put a in place to go copy of Windows on dozens or hundreds of PCS.

The downside? Imaging works when you hold the exact same hardware (the same computer or an absolutely exact computer, including all internal components). You hold to burn or otherwise backup any files you want to save, and put them subsidise on.

I image my laptop every few months. Then, if I order to screw up my Windows XP beyond fixing (hasn't happen yet, but an ounce of protection is worth a pound of cure), I can put a verbs copy of XP with my favorite programs organized to go.

What do I recommend for Imaging? Acronis TrueImage Home works great for me, and it's cheap.

Hope this help!

what is difference for example between slot PCI and DIMM socket beacuse both of them are emaciated and long?

what is difference for example between slot PCI and DIMM socket beacuse both of them are emaciated and long?

PCI is used for inserting expansion cards, such as video, network, etc. A DIMM socket is used for memory only.
A PCI slot is for holding expansion cards. It will as a rule be located at the back of the computer and own an opening surrounded by the case for the frontage of the card to fit through so you can access the ports on the card to attach a monitor, printer, network cable, etc.

A DIMM socket is used for memory and will in general have little clips at respectively end of the socket to hold the memory surrounded by place.
.

The PCI is for your Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI). This card adds speed to your processor.

The DIMM is a character of RAM Random Access Memory card that gives more memory (also considered speed) to your computer.

Their slots are different within size, although they appear similar, which ever card or stick you are trying to install inside will only fit within it's appropriate slot.

When upgrading for better performance, most relatives upgrade memory first, but it is also a good view to upgrade your PCI card, especially for games.

Now, you should only upgrade compatible next to your motherboard, that is why upgrading the memory stick is the first choice.

You can stir to sites like Crucial.com and use their tool to bring up to date you what you can upgrade and how much, for YOUR motherboard.

PCI slots are for adding cards to your system - such as video, modem, etc. They are accessible from the flipside of your pc.

DIMM slots are for memory and are on your system board.

what is difference celeron processor and pentium 4 processor?

what is difference celeron processor and pentium 4 processor?

Celeron sucks compared to the Pentium 4...........
A celeron processor doesn't own the power and the cash memory available. Actually the chips come from the exact same silicon cracker. When the processor dies are cut, they are sorted by the speed, quality, amount of lolly memory etc.

On the old ones they didn't even include a math processor!

.

If adjectives you are going to do is internet, a little word processing and small games, they are fine. If you want to do any serious work, calorific spreadsheets, design programs or higher back graphics games, the celeron just won't hang on to up.

It the way for Intel to flog the chips that work but without adjectives the features, and it's a way for customer to buy cheaper computers.

Thus a win-win.

What is difference between Ultra ATA100 and ATA 100?

My motherboard supports "ATA100", but the thorny drive I have surrounded by mind says it is IDE Ultra ATA100. Is nearby a difference?

What is difference between Ultra ATA100 and ATA 100?

Technically they are synonymous. ATA/100 supports Ultra DMA 100 mode, which your hard drive is skilled of. Basically, your motherboard can support ATA/100 capable hardrives up to UDMA 5 also set as Ultra DMA 100.
You will find faster access times with Ultra ATA. Your PC will adopt what you have. But do yourself a favor and replace your existing cable,40 pin. They are cheap.

What is difference between c.p.u. and processors.?

What is difference between c.p.u. and processors.?

Central

A processor is a chip that resourcefully, processes something. CPU is a computers main processing element that tells adjectives other processors what to do (eg. GPU = graphic processing unit)

Sometimes CPUs are a short time ago called processors as this is the chip you are most predictable looking at / changing when buying or configuring a system
both r one and alike thing.
There is relatively NO difference between a processor and a Central Processing Unit..

With the exception that the CPU is the heart of a piece of equipment, a processor is just a workhorse permanent status for the component that performs engagements on behalf of the system.
cpu is compents and the pro makes it inert that is adjectives
The last answer is rubbish. Elex is 100% correct.

A processor is a silicon chip that processes information. Graphics cards in a minute normally hold processors (the GPU) the CPU, central processor element, is commonly referred to as THE processor.
Both are same

1st X700 is DirectX 9.0b which way it only have pixel shader 2

and X1300 is DirectX 9.0c which means it have pixel shader 3 which is much better, but X1300 has a shared memory "it take a part of it's memory from the RAM which is bad"

and near is a difference in the Clock of both cards, but i really can't remeber
speed of the gpu..the 1300 is faster.

What is notes flow systems ?

In computer architecture,

1.what is information flow systems ?

2.give some properties and applications almost data flow systems ?

What is notes flow systems ?

External Entities/Terminators

are outside of the system one modelled. Terminators represent where information comes from and where on earth it goes. In designing a system, we enjoy no idea in the region of what these terminators do or how they do it.

Processes

modify the inputs in the process of generate the outputs

Data Stores

represent a place in the process where on earth data comes to rest. A DFD does not articulate anything about the relative timing of the processes, so a information store might be a place to accumulate notes over a year for the annual accounting process.

Data Flows

are how data moves between terminators, processes, and facts stores (those that cross the system boundary are known as IO or Input Output Descriptions).

Every page within a DFD should contain fewer than 10 components. If a process have more than 10 components, then one or more components (typically a process) should be combined into one and another DFD be generate that describes that component in more detail. Each component should be numbered, as should respectively subcomponent, and so on. So for example, a top level DFD would hold components 1 2 3 4 5, the subcomponent DFD of component 3 would have components 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, and 3.4; and the subsubcomponent DFD of component 3.2 would own components 3.2.1, 3.2.2, and 3.2.3. DFD can use to in presenting project.

[edit] Data store

A notes store symbolizes permanent information that is to say used by the system and must therefore be stored if the system is to function properly (i.e. Information held within a database)

What is CS enabled on a firm drive?

What is CS enabled on a firm drive?

Cable Select - it lets the position on the cable determine the drive's relationship to the other drives. You entail a CS compatable cable, which is pretty much any cable made after 2000. On old systems, cable select can slow down information access, becuase it requires additional hdd controller processing to win the target drive location. In modern systems there is no discernable production decrease when using it, and can bring in re-arranging drives in a system much easier, since you single set the jumpers the first time you install the drive.

CS stands for Cable Select. If DS is enabled later try that way first. If your laptop does not boot properly then conveyance it to CS. There are a few different variables involving jumper settings and IDE cable but hopefully this info helps.
CS stand for Cable Select.

What is computer visualization and how does it differ from multimedia?

What is computer visualization and how does it differ from multimedia?

It depends on what you imply. Some people telephone call the graphics that play within your medium player computer visualization and, in essence, it is a type of multimedia, similar to a screensaver, which uses the audio change to influence the video display. For example loud noise would put together thing bigger or redder or more toothed.

More complex computer visualization is, again, a type of multimedia which does much the same article that the media player visualization does but focuses on more significant applications. For example, computers can process notes from an MRI or X-ray machine to generate three dimensional or color coded similes to assist in medical applications. Radio telescope background can be translated into colors to produce visual descriptions for astronomy. One can also take notes which is not image orient and visualize it. For example, one could track a stock with an deity which changed color based on price movement and changed size base on volume. The possibilities are endless.

Ups is an open source source-level debugger developed surrounded by the late 1980s for Unix and Unix-like systems, originally developed at the University of Kent by Mark Russell. It supports C and C++, and Fortran on some platforms. Unlike more popular debugger stacks for these platforms, ups is completely self-contained — not merely a graphical front-end to lower-level debuggers close to gdb (although some work has be done to make ups usable surrounded by that way). The ups user interface is built directly upon the X Window System and SunView, i.e. it does not use an intermediate widget toolkit such as Motif or GTK+.

Ups is unique among debuggers because it have a song written about it.

what is buffering and what is spooling?

what is buffering and what is spooling?

Buffering is a method of overlapping the computation of a living with its execution. It temporarily stores input or output information in an attempt to better game the speeds of two devices such as a fast CPU and a slow disk drive. If, for example, the CPU writes information to the buffer, it can verbs in its computation while the disk drive stores the information.

With spooling, the disk is used as a fundamentally large buffer. Usually complete job are queued on disk to be completed following. A typical example is the spooler for a printer. When a print job is issued, the spooler take care of it, sending it to the printer if it is not busy, or storing it on disk otherwise.

The crucial difference between buffering and spooling is that the latter allows the I/O of one job to overlap the computation of another. Buffering merely allows the I/O of a job to overlap next to its own computation
It's things your printer does when its going to print.
Buffering refers to storing temporarily information into a memory zone (packets from/to the network, from/to a modem, etc). This is to optimize facts processing.

Spooling refers to jobs sent to a printer. The job are saved surrounded by a location on some storage device, until the printer can process them.
(buffering) Downloading the first block of data. In streaming medium, buffering refers to bringing in an extra amount of information (filling the buffer) before playing the audio or video. Having more audio information or video frames in memory than are in actual fact needed at each precise moment compensates for momentary delay in nouns from the source.(spooling) To store (data sent to a printer) in a buffer, allowing the program that sent the information to the printer to resume its normal operation.

What is Buffer Memory? Like on a complex drive it say: 16MB buffer memory. what is it exactly and whats it for.?

Buffer memory are solid state memories (Static RAM for Hard disk) that will relieve store data/commands temporaily to help speed up the access time of the drive.

Since tricky disks are mechanical devices, their access speed will not contest up to access time of solid state memory since they have to position their R/W pave the way to the correct tracks and sectors first back R/W can take place.

Typical access time for sturdy disk is like 8ms, static RAM access time is resembling 10ns.
Buffer memory is used to hold data while the rugged drive processes other information at the same time.

The processor is a fastest one compare beside your hard drive. The processor should linger for some time till the hard drive help yourself to the reqired files. What is better if you don't involve much space a laptop or a laptop?

What is better if you don't involve much space a laptop or a laptop?

PC will other be the cheaper option for a given amount of storage space and processing power, it costs money to shrink the components down to stuff them contained by a laptop. Also if something breaks on the laptop it costs more to fix and may ruin the computer completely depending on what it is.
I prefer desktops. Cheaper and faster.
PCs are always better and cheaper than laptops.. Coming to the space criteria laptops may be devout. But upgrading , servicing, maintaining a laptop is dull when compared to doing so in a PC. So PC are other best...
Desktop are usually cheaper, more powerful, and easier to upgrade then laptops.

Laptops own the advantage of anyone portable, can be used (wirelessly) from anywhere in the house, not stuck to a single desk. And can be embezzle to a friends, work, etc.

It is a personal preference which you want.
You can carry the best of both worlds.

Many laptops provide the ability to connect to larger monitors and standard sized keyboards and mice any through ports on the laptop or using a port replicator.

Though desktops are more powerful and easier to work on, you get deeply of freedom whith a laptop. You can take it near you when you travel. If you set up a wireless network at home, you can sit outside and dunka dunka away on the upright.

Newer laptops have wearing clothes graphics and many hold DVD drives so you can watch movies.

You should contemplate about your lifestyle and agree on if you want the mobility of a laptop or the processing power of a desktop.
