I own several of these laying within boxes from various SONY products, and needed to know if I could use them for other peripheral devices that telephone call for such connection.
What is that round piece, magnet I cogitate, attached to a mini USB to USB cable.?
The round piece is a ferrite inductor that acts as a filter against RFI. SONY is VERY fond of proprietary designs. I doubt if you could use those contained by non SONY products.
They are coils, used to help filter out RFI Radio Frequency Interference
