i be just reading some answers and come across this name, could someone please clarify what it is. i would be terribly grateful

What is a exchange cards interface card?

A network interface card (or NIC) is a divergent card in your computer that allows you to connect a lattice cable to your computer. It usually has an RJ-45 jack (which looks close to a large mobile phone jack) for CAT5 cable.
It is the card that lets you plug your computer into a web. These usually come in the form of an Ethernet jack next to an RJ-45 connector. They look like a phone cord plug but rather bigger.
