You can use 2 hardrives together.



Either Raid configuration 0 where on earth you write across both drives at once. Hardrives have moving parts which receive them the slowest link surrounded by your computer but by using 2 different drives as 1 you double the speed. You also double the available cache.



Or Raid 1 where you write one and the same data onto respectively drive as a hard disk backup of your entire drive. This wouldn't endow with you a performance boost but would provide a pretty reliable backup method.
