I be thinking of this one

I used that in my xp pro apparatus, worked great. I will be building a vista machine next to home basic. Then i will supply it locally, but im unsure which CPU to go next to for vista. I don't know if i should go near AMD or Intel.
Thank you.
What is a obedient CPU to use for a budget vista contraption?
Good Choice.
I have two systems running Vista (Beta). One is running on a Intel Pentium 4 and the other is running an AMD. I regard the newer AMD runs better and am waiting to purchase the new altered copy of Vista, once they get the patch ironed out of it.
The Core 2 Duo is the best processor on the market right immediately. The best one for the money is a the E6400.
For Vista, you really want a dual core. The X2 3600+ is $122, and the 3800+ (512k more cache) is $135. Those are Socket AM2, though. At Tiger Direct, you can get S939 X2s for $150.
Thats processor is a creature.
