What's the difference between that and a "regular" video card?
What is a low profile video card?
Most addition cards for your computer are a specific size to fit into a standard size case. Some computer including the "low-profile" dell, hp, gateway and etc. use "low-profile" cards which simply just own a smaller metal plate on it's end to fit into the luggage... the card itself may be the same size as the regular card (only the metal piece will be at variance. [on the high finishing expensive cards you may notice a size difference on the card as all right, however most users don't need giant end cards unless they play hottest videogames]
it probably refers to its physical dimensions .. maybe its for a small shield ...
Just the height of the card. There are completely small computer cases out there that will merely take partly height cards (low profile).
