I am looking for a software tool that scan any system and tells me exactly what type (speed, size, # of modules, etc) of RAM I enjoy a also indicated the maximum type of RAM my board supports. In other words, let's say I know someone who requests to upgrade their memory, but doesn't know what the have or what is supported by their board. I want to know how to quickly install a software program that soon tells us what we hold and what can be added. I have tried the Crucial product and found it to be deeply unreliable. Any recommendations (please include links). I am NOT looking for memory diagnostic tools to "test" the memory, simply tools to tell me what I own and what can be supported by the board.
What is a virtuous free tool to experiment what type of memory (RAM) a motherboard supports?
You can also try MemoryX website, other than Cricial....
http://www.memoryx.net/
The best tool I know of is on http://www.crucial.com .
Crucial.com really is the best one. I use that for making sure that I acquire the right one and then I decree it online. They are perfectly accurate. They do a scan online next to your computer and can tell you surrounded by about 20 second.
Good luck. ! Not that you need any . !
